    Bernice R. Bako, FSMPS, CPSM - Director, National Marketing at Turner Construction Company
    Bernice Bako has been a “service” marketer for over 20 years. Today she serves as Director of National Marketing for Turner Construction Company. For 19 years she has held various marketing positions within Turner, serving profit centers ranging in size from 125 to 800 professional staff. Before her current position, she spent five years in a national position with Turner Logistics, supply chain managers, a subsidiary of Turner. Her background ranges from marketing management, change initiatives, internal communications, and public relations to setting strategy for new business lines for the company. Her primary responsibility in each case is to position smart people to be successful!

    Prior to working in the construction industry, Bernice was a public relations officer for the U.S. Air Force and in banking. Bernice holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut and BA in communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has been an active SMPS member for more than 19 years.

    Carolyn Ferguson, FSMPS, CPSM - Owner, Winmore Marketing Advisors
    A communicator, strategist and trainer, Carolyn Ferguson facilitates corporate and marketing strategies, develops awards and public relations programs, as well as educates and coaches A/E/C professionals. As President of WinMore Marketing Advisors, Carolyn oversees the strategic vision and operations of the company. Her talent shines in creating dynamic, attention-grabbing promotional materials and her creations have garnered her 54 national and regional design awards including “Peer’s Choice” in 2009 and “Best of Show” in 2006 at SMPS Houston Awards Gala. At the 2006 SMPS National Conference in Hollywood she won “Best of Show” for a corporate brochure. Differentiating one firm from another and developing distinct identities for every client is Carolyn’s specialty. She has been an A/E/C marketing professional consultant for 16 years and was named to the Building Design + Construction’s “40 under 40” list. Carolyn was SMPS National President from 2010-2011.
